Katrina is fine. I am fecked up. I went to my doc yesterday afternoon to get blood work so I could a script for test strips for my blood sugar. He would give me one because my AC1 level is okay. I need to test 7 times a day and strips retail for $56 for 50! Insurance peeps keep losing my paperwork to switch docs. Now they say the switch won't happen til Dec. I have been working on this since August. My doc won't talk to me about anything other than detox, saying all my issues are because of AL. That is NOT why I am diabetic! So, of course I drank last night...

Wow, LTG, that sounds awful. I am so sorry you drank last night and hope that today you feel determined not to let yourself go that way again. I can understand you wanting to switch docs; "detox" makes no sense for someone who has been AF for at least a couple of weeks, or more! Does he really mean inpatient treatment? Or what the hell is he talking about?

Thanks everyone! I have to tough it out til the switch goes into effect. I am going back to my old doc who knows I have a problem with AL and diabetes. He was always willing to talk about supps and help me manage my blood sugar. I should have stayed there. The current doc is more concerned with my husbos feeling than mine. He says I have medical detox, then rehab. Insurance thinks differently. Thanks for listening. I know everyone has their own issues so I appreciate it :h:l
