Our New President
I only cried for about an hour or so. Thank you all the voters, now maybe we can move forward in a positive way.
Who cares who didn't post. America has spoken and hopefully we can turn around the atrocities of the Bush era.
It is a daunting job for any President to have to clean up after Bush, but if anyone can do it let's hope Obama can with all of our support.
I am thrilled.Enlightened by MWO

To all my dear American friends, congratulations and a heartfelt thank you from this tiny, fragile little globe we call home for the historic election of Sen. Barack Obama to the White House. The man has got his work cut out for him but he knows how to unleash the enormous human potential slumbering within your great nation.
I have not been this moved by a global political event since the wall came down in Berlin.
Again, congratulations.
P.S. I would have loved to crack open a bottle of Champagne to celebrate, but the price for me would just be too high. By midnight I had almost OD'd on roasted almond though, LOL.
Love you all,

ENGLAND AGREES
I am english and I had a tear this morning cos I do think a new era is dawning and thought of all the Americans and thought 'once upon a time white supremecy ruled but now Obama does.' And I did want to say it cos I felt it. However, I knew as soon as his grandma died that good things were about to happen to the guy. Hope he gets a rescue puppy!!!

I sincerely hope he does a very good job.:flower: I'm not as good as I'm gonna get, but I'm better than I used to be.

AKGirl I can't resist (btw - this is meant to be HUMOR)
The lower 48 would like to return the Governor of Alaska "Caribou Barbie". We tried her out for a couple months, but things didn't work out. We hope she'll fit right back in her old job of filing expense reports for family travel, letting her husband sit at her desk and run the state, and hiding her medical records to cover the secret that Trip is not her baby. We hope there is not too much wear-and-tear on her, and since she cost nothing, there's no need for a refund!

BTW - want to see something funny. Go find a complete video of McCain's concession speech, and at the end during the "hug" session, watch Cindy McCain react to Sarah and Todd's approach. Classic to know what Cindy really thinks of them.

as i said earlier not to many talking,it is not the president tht makes all the decisions, its his staff, the blame is not all mr bushes,if this was other countries and he did and his government did the atrosities he has done, there would be no gettin away with it,as in canada we have the same goin on turn a blind eye on it till it starts affecting you, remember we the people are the government,we actully let it happen,so we are as much to blame, stand up, and you go to prison, beleive me when i say this i hope he does well, but somtimes the hole is to big,

gyco, not to be confrontational but there were those of us who have for years tried to fight what has been going on and we have been stymied at every avenue. Until 2006 one party controlled every branch of our government. Hopefully now we will see change. I am not blaming any one party, I'm just saying that in order for a government of the people, by the people, for the people, to work it needs to listen and heed the voices of all the people not just those that agree with it.
