    Good Morning all,

    As some of you know, yesterday I got made redundant from my job. Still feeling pretty numb. Looking forward to being able to embrace a new start. This year is really turning out to be a Starting Over year for me on many levels. I have a meeting to go to at 10am this morning where I will be told officially. My boss will read through a script like I am a stranger and it will be very strange and pretty uncomfortable I am guessing. So, now what?? I really dont know, all i do know is that I am going to need you guys over the coming weeks.

    I hope all are good today, thread was pretty quiet last night? I guess because of the elections maybe?

    Anyway, I will be in touch later.

    And Hips have a wonderful day today with Jasmine and give her a huge cuddle from me.

    Starts, I read your earlier post, and I do have a good idea of how much this hurts. You know your friends here will support you, tons, and have every confidence in your ability to turn this around into something GOOD for you.

    And, on an unrelated subject, UNBELIEVABLE JOY here in the USA right now! Fireworks started going off in my neighborhood during John McCain's (very gracious) concession speech. Tonight something happened that, I believe, showed the world that the USA that once was respected and trusted is NOT dead and gone. Not yet, by God. What happened today in our country, and the WAY it happened, was too beautiful and moving for words. I am so proud of us right now. Barack Obama, elected the next President of the United States!

      It is lovely to hear so many so happy with the election results. A bit of positivity does the whole world good!

          Starting,

          We will be here for you. You know that.

          The same thing happened to me 11 years ago. I ended up in the position I am in now and it is worlds better and my life turned around for the better.

          Now, we are both kicking this problem, too.

          I expect 10 years from now I will look back at joining MWO and amazed at how much better my life has become because of it.

          Hang in there. Do not let this derail your healing. Let it be a part of your healing.

          Sending prayers for you that your new life and new path are so much better.

            hi starting sorry to here about the job,tht is not odd in this world today,but youll find somthing,hi wip and cind,i guess some are happy on the election but we can only see what this young guy will do,lot of promises,will be interesting how he handles the north in canada,gyco

                Hi Starting,

                I am so sorry to hear about the job, but I just have a feeling it is going to be the start of something really really wonderful for you.

                My guess is you are at a turning point, and the job had to go for you to reach your full potential- you are such a kind, caring person, I hope your next job is in a place where you will using those qualities.

                  Good morning all.
                  So sorry to hear about the job starts. You must feel terrible, but you put a great perspective on it. Everything happens for a reason, and im sure in 6 months time you will be in a better job, happier, and look back to today and be thankfull that you left.
                  My best friend was made redundant from a job he'd had over 10 years. He decided to save to go to N.Z and is now getting married with a wonderfull little girl living in N.Z. God works in mysterious ways!

                  Got my councellor meeting tdy at 10. Looking forward to getting some stuff off my chest, then tnt im having a firework display in my garden. Going to do a little fire and have some awsome rockets. Im like a big kid today.

                    Hi All,

                    Hope you don't mind if I join back in here?
                    I haven't been around for awhile, I found that I was spending a lot of time on the site and it was causing a bit of a rift between me and my husband. I had been doing really well until lately, guess I got cocky thinking I had everything in check but I guess a leopard never really changes their spots do they? so back on the wagon for me. I have a lot on with work at the minute and I can feel the stress and anxiety voice creeping back in.

                    Starting, sorry to hear about your job but hopefully it will open new doors for you, life has a funny way of doing that and what doesn't kill you can only make you stronger.

                    Hope everyone is doing ok and congrats US on your new president, it really does seem like the injection of hope and positivity that the whole world needs right now. I really hope he does well - can you imagine being him at this moment in time and how he must be feeling - imagine, the President of the US, imagine having that level of responsibility - I get nervous just even talking to people never mind making world changing decisions!

                    Hope everyone has a good day and Happy Guy Fawkes Day - is that still celebrated as an official holiday in the UK, Guy Fawkes??

                        Hey bandit and ltg. Hope your both well.
                        Guy Fawkes isnt a holiday sadly!
                        Ive got to get my garden ready for the display tnt. Cant wait. So excited! Girlfriend is really sick though. Cant keep anything down. Not even water.
                        Counceling session went well. feel i get some kind of focus when i go there. Start picking up the pieces of the jigsaw and making the picture.
