                One Two
The same thing happened to me when my dog was a puppy. I slept beside her on the couch all night and I was convinced she was going to die and I kept checking to see if she was breathing. She was so sick and then the next day it was like as it nothing happened she was bouncing around as per usual. Dogs do eat all sorts of random stuff - I have even seen a tennis ball coming back out of a dog's bum - not whole mind you.
If you eat something even a few crackers and cheese or something simple then you might stop you thinking about drinking.

                  Oney

Alfie will not die. puppies are extremely hardy- just like babies really.

Just don't even go there- it won't happen.

Not much more to say, just stay strong, you can't drink now. I am saying my strongest prayers ever for you.

Oney, you must have something to drink, something warm, it will calm you down. Alfie will feel it if you are panicking and it will stress him too.
                    Please get yourself something.
Did you manage to speak to the vet again?

O2M, atleast take water to stay hydrated. Like Starting said, if you are stressed, Alfie will sense it - like kids do. Please, just some water :h

Oh my little Oney and Alfie,
I left for a few hours and came back to see this emergency happening....Bh and Start are right...you need to eat something and drink something like warm tea. You will be stronger and better able to be the nurse you want to be. Alfie will be fine...I know it in my heart. Take care of yourself and Alfie will feel better too. I send prayers to you both. Love, Krigs

When this is over, find yourself another vet. you need one you can trust and who will be there whenever they are needed. You are paying them. I expect my vet to ready whenever I think there is a cause. Yes it will cost but that is what I expect. And they havent let me down yet.

Try if you can not to keep fussing him, keep offering the water but try to move away from him if you can after.

He will be OK oney, if its a blockage, they can remove it, he will probably need an op in the morning. Yogi ate a plastic bag once I thought he would die, but eventually it came out
I am going to bed now, but I expect I wil wake in the night so will check in then.
Have you had something to drink yet? No? Do it now......

Not many things more important than a puppy! Ditto to what everyone else said about eating something, and drinking something, yourself. Being in this kind of situation, plus not eating or drinking properly, is a recipe for relapse. Not eating doesn't help Alfie, at all...

Thinking about you, and I am sure he will be much better, soon. Puppies do this kind of thing.

Oney- to me few things in life are more important than a puppy!!!

And for your family at the moment it is the most important thing in the world...don't worry you are not dumping on us one little bit.

Our animals are part of our families. To me they are as important as any of the humans in my family.

                                This is not silly
