    Good morning,

    My first thoughts this morning were about Alfers. How are things Oney? I so hope they are better than yesterday....post when you can hun.

    Today I am taking mum to the hospital. I am hoping they will be able to help her. She has no quality of life the way her breathing is at the moment and it is worrying and heartbreaking to watch..

    Still not quite sure how I feel about the job situation, OK I guess but I probably have other things to think about before worrying about that...

    Anyway, prayers for everyone from me. i hope you are all good today.

    Morning Starts

    I am up very early (well early for me) as I have to go to the bank and get a float then the shop will open!

    Big day.

    I do hope they can do something for your mum, as you said no point in worrying about the job now, you have other stuff to think about.

    Take it easy, you have so much on your plate at the mo.

    I also woke up thinking of little Alfie- I am sure he is OK, but Oney, do let us know, I am leaving the house now but can read on my magic phone- not as magic as Start's - cos I cant post

    I also felt very angry about your moron vet- there's a job for you today, to find a nicer one.

        Will post my takings when I get home tonight!!

        We will only be doing a half day today- don't expect we will open before 11, as I am sitting here!

        I close at 10pm tonight- very late for here- unheard of infact, at this time of year round here you can't buy anything after 8pm, unless you go in an overpriced petrol station, so i am hoping in time to get a name for being open late and grab a few customers there.

            Starting/Marbs....Good morning!!!

            Marbs...I am living vicariously through you, my hats off to you!!

            Starting...I have been there, mom got diagnosed with cancer 8 days before I got notified of my layoff in 2002. My heart is with you!!

            I will be thinking of you all day my friends!!

                  Morning all.
                  Im hoping alfie is better today.
                  Hope everything goes well for you today starts. Enjoy some you time, and start worrying about the job later.
                  Had a great firework display last night, but my back garden looks like a scene from platoon this morning!
                  Have been thinking about things that Wip has been talking to me about, and have really missed being on here, but at the same time realize i need to find a balance and not spend every min of the day thinking about this site. Hmmmmm
                  Anyways, good luck with the shop marbs, hope you have a great first day and i hope everyone else has a productive and positive one.
                  Time to clear up the mess!

                    Morning KP, yep I have absolutely no intention of thinking of job until the new year. I need to look after me for a while. This year has been the toughest I have had for a very long time. So yes, some time for myself is a priority. Like you I have to be sensible and not spend every min of every day here. I have loads I want to do. And like drinking, just sitting here would be the easy option.
                    I hope snowflake was all right yesterday....

                      Oney, he will be fine, he is in the right place and they are going to remove the blockage. I am proud of you for doing all that for him, it cant have been easy.
                      He WILL be OK.
                      When can you call? 3pm?

                        Dear One I hope pooch is ok mine was in the same situation when i fed her cooked chicken bones a absolute NO NO . Any way i was ignorant of that but she turned out ok and like you I turned out broke but its worth it!!!!! it wont cost thousands just a few quid as in beyond 50 pounds

                          It shouldnt be thousands oney. But it might be a couple of hundred.
                          It is unlikely (very) that he will die from the operation.

                            Last year I had to have Yogi xrayed and opened up from his ribs to his willy so a massive wound. They had to go very deep inside him and although he was sore for a couple of days he was fine and as soon as he felt well enough he was eating again.
                            Dont worry, he will be fine....
