I know this is not a popular answer, but I hope my husband is doing this for him but also for US. We have been together for almost 14 years and we have endured a lot due to AL. I am aware it needs to start with him for him, but after all we have been through, I would like to know he is doing it for us as well.

For me! BF loves me whether I drink wine or abstain, he doesn't control me - only I can control myself, for myself. Plus, I want to be there for my kids as they all grow up - no early demise for this chicky!!!

I'm doing it for me my kids. I don't want them growing up thinking it's okay to drink like that. Hubby would think that I'm being incredibly selfish (as you all know he wants me to drink). So I'm selfish...I can live with that!
