Hiya Rubes,

I have no faith in the hospital at all. Yesterday we saw a new consultant we told him that mum had recently spent 6 days in that hospital and they told her nothing was wrong!!!! He studied her scan for a few moments and pointed out that it WAS emphysema and couldnt understand yet again why nothing had been done.
i am furious, this is the second time they have not progressed her treatment.

SO, I don't know much but I DO know everyone I know with emphysema or COPD take oxygen and some type of medication to help open their airways (a good friend my age has it, as well as several elderly friends and relatives). I understand your frustrations!

They have admitted negligence already earlier this year when they misdiagnosed her cancer. We have their apology in writing but mum didnt want to spend her final time going through a court battle

She is on inhalers and such now and they are not working. But this is going to kill her isnt it?
