    What comes to mind...

What's the first thing that comes to mind when I say....

    "sobriety"
:flower: I'm not as good as I'm gonna get, but I'm better than I used to be.

drink, to be perfectly honest. The word "sobriety" immediately makes me think of drink, akgirl, and the way I used to live my life. It`ll be a long time `til I can get those images out of my mind.......they aren`t pretty.

However, what the word "sobriety" actually MEANS to me is a very different matter........it means a life worth living.

      It means "safe" to me.

I'm very scared of alcohol. It threatens me (though still tempts me on occasion).

Peace and serenity and the comfort in understanding what that truly means to be a recovered alcoholic.
