Theres an i phone update on i tunes starts. Ive put it on my i pod and it caused no problems.
Erin just phoned me and sounded a little horse on the phone. I asked her if she had a sore throat, and she told me she had started a band in school!!
Her and her best friend are lead singers, there is a drummer and guitarist and 2 backing singers!!
She wants me to help her write some lyrics! 8 yrs old. They grow up so quick!!To Infinity And Beyond!!Comment

Great Job Kriger. I tried to stop smoking and it only lasted one month. I thought I better just work on one addiction at a time. I wish you the best of luck. I'm going to try again here soon. Just want to get some more AF days behind me first.Comment

That's a good post and a good clarification, Oney. You know, when I first got here and was confused by all the threads, and wanted to find a "place" for me, as a person committed to AF (by that time I had screwed up so many times I knew very well that "mods" was not for me), I ran across the "Firecracker" thread and the "30 days" thread and thought that they would be great... turns out, they started pretty much like the AF Army thread, and evolved and changed over a long time, so that each of them is a bunch of friends, some of them AF and some not so much so, so that I did not feel I could be "at home" there.
I think that is what is just going to happen to these threads, if people hit it off together, they will lose their initial purpose and shift into something more social. That's good in many ways. For me, I will always want one or two "places" that are more seriously "about" being AF and supportive of how to get and stay AF.
Again, I care a lot for EVERYONE here. Now that we (the regulars and those who started out together on this thread) are a bit more clear about what this daily thread is about, I won't get so anxious, or whatever, if someone shows up with drink in hand.

Yes it does and this is just MY opinion but I feel more comfortable talking to people who aren't drinking when I'm trying my hardest to stay AF. I came here to stay that way. I know every one needs help but I would just rather chat with people who are not drinking at all. There are a lot of thread here to seek help. I guess that is just how I feel. People who aren't drinking are going to give me the best and honest advise the way I see it. That's what I came here for honest friendship!Comment

I felt the same way about quitting cigs....I wanted to get AF first, so now I don't really have any good excuses to be smoking! Great Job on your 9 days AF!!!
Oney, I woke up this morning and had 2 cigs but then showered and put on my patch...that is the end of smoking for the day (and hopefully forever). Hi all!.. (day 17 for me, and LOVING it!) Kriger. They say smoking is the hardest drug to give up...harder than AL, Heroin etc, so, you have your work cut out for you... After many attempts, i stopped years ago, and know that after a while, well 15 yrs. here, i don't even think about it.. it started leaving my thinking after about 3 or so mths i think, but yep, is hard, but you'll feel a million bucks...good luck!... off to work for me now, take care all... G.

Ive mentioned it before, and it never fails to amaze me with my addictive personality, but i can give or take fags. 10 fags can easily last me 10-12 days. I smoke a fag before i go to bed usually, and maybe sometimes if im watching sport, but i really can give or take fags.
