Afternoon all, I haven't had chance to read through the posts yet so i hope everyone is ok?

I'm feeling a bit out of sorts today and not quite with it. Even to the point where i sprayed hairspray under my arms instead of deoderant and it stung really bad! Not much planned for me today. Going shopping in a bit for something nice for dinner. Might even check out the recipe tread for some inspiration. Really have to get my car insurance sorted today aswell ... been almost 5 days now and still no quote.

Ruby, what's in the casserole?

Gia, when I lived in Boston, I would come to Texas for visits with a friend and bring seafood in a cooler on the plane. When I went back to Boston, I would fill the cooler with mexican and cajun ingreidents...LOL!!

O2M, when you get to NYC, you have to eat at local rests., not common chains, okay? You will enjoy the local specialities so much more than chain food

L, it's the basic egg based casserole you've prob had, bread in bottom; cheese; ham, sausage, or bacon; milk; maybe veg like onion, peppers, etc; ? This one is made by lining the bottom of a baking dish with refrigerated tube of crescent rolls (unseparated) instead of the bread, then mixing everthing else and pour in on top. If you want full recipe, I'll look it up and PM it to you. Will try before I leave today, but running late! Hubs just told me to stay til Monday if I want! Big trust!

O2M, I will be getting you a map from your hotel to Filene's Basement for clothes shopping. It's within walking distance from your hotel. Remember, if you buy clothes, take the tags off before you pack so you don't pay taxes going home. I will also look to see if there is a Steve & Barry's near there. They are going out of business and have great prices on the Bitten line by Sarah Jessica Parker. I bought a bounch of things yesterday for only $120 USD. I got 2 jackets, 1 pair of jeans, and 9 tops & sweaters!

Here, Pillsbury makes refrigerated biscuits in a tube. You can also get pizza dough, french bread, etc. and crescent rolls. It's basically a dough, like pie dough. You can make it using day old bread too. It is great to make Christmas eve, put in fridge, pop in oven in the morning while kids are going mad, and you have a great complete breakfast in about 45 minutes! I'll look up the complete recipes as soon as I get back. My whole family expects it now! Add some fruit, toast, coffee, juice, it's a feast.

Love Black Forest cake. Have you ever had B F Trifle? Yummy! I'm making chunky guacamole w/blue chips, Sour Cream/Walnut Banana cake, beefy beans, and all natural whole wheat/apple/raisin muffins for grands party tomorrow. Have lots to do tonight!
