Back to Jimmy Stewart (no, we can never get enough of him)...
Now, I am not sentimental, in fact, I am kind of an anti-sentimentalist, but-- It's a Wonderful Life is the best Christmas movie I have ever seen and Jimmy Stewart is,... well words fail me. (I can't believe you knew him Kate!)
p.s. Mr Smith Goes to Washington might be a good one for New Years Day.Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life... And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.

Personally when mum let us stay up all night watching DEADLY EARNEST PRESENTS ( aussie male eqivalent to ELVIRA QUEEN OF THE DARK) the outer space movies
1)Forbidden Planet with Robby the robot
2)It came from outer space ( watch the skies!!!)
3)The day the earth stood still
4) Planets Crash or collide ( get on that rocket)
5) the three stooges on the planet of women( every male needs to see that one)

500) 2'000 and one a space oddity the monkey at the start that realises a bone can be a weapon reminds me of when my beloved has grabbed the wooden spoon and wacks me with it and realises it changes my behaviour!!!! hence the point of the film

AHHHHHHHHHH IAD I so love that flick I love christmas time its the best!!!!! particulary seeing the excitment and joy in the childs face!!! But i also remember christmas can be a lonely time for some and makes them feel crappy !!!!!! Remember to give hugs to a person on there own on christmas day I will visit the wonderful lady next door with lucy and have a chat and cup of tea she is beautiful and loves Lucy unfortunately her sister who lives in England can never make it and she spends most of it aloneComment

How Wonderful a gift it is to spend time with those that are alone, during the Holidays.It is a gift for them but even a Greater gift to us.I love taking Cookies to older people who can no longer bake for themselves.Tomorrow I will make a big pot of soup, from the left over turkey and take it around the neighborhood.This is a tradition that I got from my Grandparents Swedish Meat market.In the old days, they would hook up the Horse and buggy and give out delicious soup after every holiday.sigpicEyes on the PRIZE, a SOBER Future !!!Comment

I agree with Popeye. My favourite film and one I hunt out in the tv supplements in A Christmas Carol. Don't care too much for the muppet version, but like the one mentioned above and also the one that is on this year. Scrooge is fab..............Comment
