    Hell, um I mean, heck no! The farthest by butt ventures from the house on Friday is outside to put up the Christmas decorations and to get the tree (not in that order ). I buy most of my stuff online these days anyway - so much easier...

        Oney, if you are going to be in NYC it is probably a lot like Chicago in that you can get that wind whipping off the water. Brings a nice, swirling breeze sailing between the buildings...

            Cy, nope Friday is considered the 'official' kickoff day for the Christmas shopping season and all the stores have huge incentives to get people to come in and buy things. Still give the gifts on the 25th.

            LTG is right - lots of food on Thanksgiving. It is considered a badge of honor in my family to have to undo the snap on your pants to let your belly expand from all the food!

                I guess they put a $10 value on something that they could sell for $5 and still make a profit, then during the sales make it $7- or something like that.

                Seems to be the way they do it here.
