        DAY 1

Sorry, Dingbat, I don't know about others, but I always suggest an AF thread for people who are just starting out (or re-starting) on an AF program, because I think it's really important for them (well, for all of us working an AF program, actually). I do think that ODAT is a great thread for people who don't feel the need for an AF thread... you're great folks, definitely not red-headed, or step-chil'run, or nuthin'!!!

            DAY 1

Thanks WIP!!! I offered that jokingly, but I do think that the ODAT thread is a valuable tool as well. For some the idea of "AF forever" is just too daunting at first. But, taking one day at a time, adding up the days one by one, seems more manageable. Before one knows it, a month has gone by without drinking. And, as has been said, a person really needs to get through at least the first thirty days AF before he can even begin to look at his life realistically. Right now, there are two of us coming up on our 30 days, and we did it ODAT, without worrying about what comes after that. It takes the pressure off a bit.

In any case - mad, good luck too you! You won't believe how much better you're gonna feel after a few days AF. Waking up in the morning with no hangover and clear memories of the night before will do wonders for your motivation!

              DAY 1

I am so jealous of you all and in the best possible way. I am back to dot 1. Failed dismally. Maybe I should just lock myself up and throw away the key. Pllllllease do I hear the cries. Still, I will get there. Just it is no easy task. Now why the heck is that?
