TOMORROW IS DAY ONE. I HAVE DRANK ALL WEEKEND AND FOR THE LIFE IN ME I COULD NOT TELL YOU WHY. I KNOW I DID NOT ENJOY IT AND I KNOW NEITHER DID A LOT OF YOU ON THIS WEBSITE. SO AS I HAVE RELAPSED, MAJORLY AND STILL HAVE WINE IN MY SYSTEM. TOMORROW IS THE DAY. I WILL BEGIN MY PLAN AND LOOK AT IT LIKE IT IS A CHALLENGE AND WORK WITH IT. I HAVE PHOTOCOPIED PIECES OF PAPER WHICH ALL ARE GEARED TOWARDS SOBREITY. I SHALL WORK AND SPEND TIME WRITING AND THINKING, INSTEAD OF WHINING AND DRINKING!!!!! SO I EXPECT IN A YEAR I CAN COME HERE AND SAY 'LOOK I HAVE NOT DRANK FOR ONE WHOLE YEAR'. THAT IS MY GOAL. BUT ONE DAY AT A TIME.:thanks:Tags: None

Hiya Madds, you stick to that, girl - every joutney begins with the first step. ...this time two weeks ago I was stranded in Christchurch (had to hitch home - 3 and half hour drive, hadn't hitched for 8 dam years), woke up in ex-boyfriends house, he's nice but was over hime years ago and felt awful about that - had drunk solidly for 40-odd hours...lalalala...I had a full bottle of vod I LEFT BEHIND! THAT is a miracle. So I am two weeks today, and that was a CONSCIOUS decision that enough was ENOUGH. I felt depressed, angry, anxious and scared. Today is like paradise in comparison. YOU CAN DO IT GIRL!!!!!*Serenity is the calm WITHIN the storm*

I'm excited for the journey you are beginning tomorrow and I think you will do fantastic! Lean on people here for support and I think the supplements REALLY help, especially in those first days and weeks when you are making such a huge change. Your brain will have "misfires" as it will be missing the alcohol, so the amino acids and supplements will greatly reduce the physical and emotional stress.

Good for you Maddie! The daily AF thread in Monthly Abs. would be a good place to post, lots of people working hard on their AF programs. Good support, good advice. I'd suggest browsing through some of the older threads in Long-Term ABS as well as Monthly ABS, too... all of the "Booze Buster" threads are wonderful. They will help you figure out a solid plan you can start out with!

Well thank you all. See if I am nice, everyone else is. I have posted my last one for a week. If I need to I shall come on the site to read. I am aiming for my first week AF in ages. Nearly got there this week and then wam, bam went mental. I actually do respect you all. WIP I am learning how this website works, so I shall see what I can find and love to read all the wise words of people who are further up the mountain. Thank god I survived, just, this weekend.
