Giving up the fags is hard. Kind of like giving up the drink.

If it "helps," my doctor is getting MRI's done of my lungs. Why? Because my syndrome is often related to lung cancer. Yeppers. Lung cancer.

Please quit smoking now. Oh, yes you did!!!

I am an old lady and they are looking into lung cancer because of my symptoms and pain.

Um, PAIN!! Not kidding there. I am in incredible pain, head and face and now they are looking at lung cancer as the cause. This pain I am in is not to be taken lightly.

I hurt.... Anyone who knows me knows what that little sentence means.

I am so happy you want to be free of the fags. You are my hero.

Star ... Good on ya girl for giving up the fags. I know how hard it is. I gave up for 2 months and i'm ashamed to say it but i've started again. I have the patches in the boot of my car. Bought them last week and every morning i wake up and say today is the day and i will stop but then i go and buy fags.

It is one of the most difficult things to give up the fags. I find stress and bordom get me the most. I'm gonna beat it and will be smoke free again by xmas.

4 hrs. to go `til I`m 48 hrs fag free.

Been working hard today.......painting my living room ceiling........way way way up high.......stressful job. Let slip a few f******.......turned the air blue with my cursing, actually, but........got half the ceiling done WITHOUT resorting to buying a pkt of fags. Am so happy I could scream :H

LTG........I can`t start an actual nicotine free thread........am using the nicotine gum, so am technically "only" smoke free, as opposed to being nicotine free :H

Best laugh is, as I quit the booze cold turkey, I was determined to quit smoking cold turkey. Oh what the hell.......gum it is and thankful I am that it exists.......I could not cope with the cravings without my beloved gum!!!!!! lol

Yes marbella.........tried the patch and inhaler in past, but never the gum. I think the gum is awesome........doesn`t entirely kill the urge, but quietens the roar of a craving to a little yelp lol
