    CHRISTMAS PAH!!!!

Yeh, I do think Christmas is sad for many. It's a reminder of how sad you are when you have no one. Which is awful for many. Once upon a time me, until my kids came along. Up until that Christmas, I had never stopped to think. A lot of people spend fortunes on booze and get so off their faces. Its a great excuse..................and Lila that just shows you how good you raised your kids.

        CHRISTMAS PAH!!!!

Loved that Limers send a copy to me. I just looooooooove Scrooge. I believe!!!!!!!! And Charles Dickens is my hero. Anyway for all this misery I went out and got a white christmas tree. Know it sounds daft but simple things please simple minds and I got a buzz. So Next week never mind all this bah bloody humbug and commercialism. I bought a tree I added to the chain. So next week my home will be tinkling with lights and hopefully not a drunk mum. Perish the thoughtxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx:h

AND...the soap shows on t.v like eastenders, coranation street etc, where everyone is drinking ALL the time.

            CHRISTMAS PAH!!!!

I think I can understand a little bit about what each person here has to say. Holidays, Christmas in particular does not bring to mind pleasant memories for me. My father always ended up throwing a fit over something and ruining the day.
But, since I have been on my own, I have created new memories, beautiful memories and I love Christmas. I love the family closeness, all the baking and cooking and carefully chosen gifts. The delight of the children and the adults alike. I do love the movies and the music, the lights and the decorations. I am definitely in agreement with Gia and Wally here! It is so sad that we have so little to do with our memories of that preciouse time in our lives when we are children.

But, we do have control over how we create our lives as adults. We do not have to continually live in the past.

As for the commericalism, yep, it is there alright, but again, we have choices as to how much, if any we buy into all of that!
