    Army Thread 4th December 2008

Hiya Madders...well yes by the laws of the seasons it SHOULD be hot and sunny - however, this is the fourth day of rain, but it isn't cold. Just very wet!! But I do live in a rain forest, to be expected, and the surrounding bush is nothing short of beautiful. We usually get long hot days end of December up til March....
GREAT sobriety milestone, Madd - you are awesome, and a great inspiration to the brand newbies to recovery. I remember being in a meeting (AA) some years ago and my mate was celebrating her 1 year AF and she said "WOW guys, I am a year sober today, and it only took a day" I GOT that!! One day at a time, bite-size chunks, we DO get there!!!

Thank you Kaponium. Yes, beginning of Day 2. Mind you drinking coffee and tea like a mad one. have to get that water down me. Made some quinoe last night as read it was good for you, put it on the side in the pan next to the chicken that I cooked for my sons who came for dinner. Jack the toothless Greyhound jumped up got the chicken and splattered my Quinoe all over the floor!!!! I went into the kitchen and thought 'where's the chicken??' - even toothless dogs can digest it. HOW CAN THAT BE??? jUST AN ASIDE AND YOU HAVE A LOVELY DAY IN THAT RAINFOREST..........................:h

Oh let me go and get the box. It is 'one of the most sacred foods of the ancient Incas of South Americ. It is a plant food - bit like rice, but not heavy and starchy. It is called the mother of the grains. Qinoa is superior to other grains because it is a complete protein. It is a seed, not a grain. Gluten free. It contains 8 essential amino acids. Can be cooked or sprouted and eaten raw.' So says the box!!! It is ok, normally I do roast potatoes, but tried this mixed with veg and a sauce. Kids and I enjoyed it. SUPER HEALTHY NOW!!! fELT SATISFIED, BUT LIGHT!!!!!!!!!! IF YOU UNDERSTAND. mind you jack the toothless greyhound did not seem to like it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!as it is splattered all over my floor.

Do you know what I am really glad you are going top notch. We can do it. To be sober is to be free. It tastes nice really. I liked it. Very impressed. I am now converted. Get to that shop in the rainforest and get some. I think you will like it. AND BE SUPERHEALTHY LIKE ME!!!!!!!!!!LOL

Is it expensive? God the paradox of the "ism" I would fork out many, many dollars with impunity in the bottlestore, not an eyelid blinked, but when it comes to my health, my wallet seems strangely reluctant! A learning curve! Yes, the happiness, joy and FREEDOM of being AF is beyond price ay

Morning all, just on my first coffee of the day and the sun in shining (even though it's still freezing outside and the canal is frozen). Just sat in our conservatory looking out at the country side and having some quiet time. Bliss. No work today so the whole day to myself. Again Bliss!!

Oh Oney will be landing soon ... Won't she?

Starts ... Hope you got to work on time??

Cy ... Enjoy your sleep ... Will see you later babe.

Morning to Maddiva, sweetgun and kapo ... How are you all today?

                      Wish xx

I am taking it easy, so as not to succumb to the evils of booze. Am off shortly in hunt of a white christmas tree. Not having a green real one this year. bet the canal looks lovely... enjoy your coffee. came on here for support yet again.:thanks:

Think i might just make myself another coffee before my shower.
