    Army Thread 4th December 2008

LOL AAth, Totally agree....Hey guys just want to put something random in here....

I have heard it said that a definition of insanity is doing something over and over and expecting a different result ( i.e, trying to drink normally)...I would just like to say that for me it was Doing something over and over and KNOWING the result would be the same (BAD) if not worse!!! LOL.

Am being restored to sanity today....Anger is the dubious luxury of "normal" people...

Hey, guys, just checking in every once in a while. My new helper has inspired me to clean this house up!!! By the way, Kap, never look down on anyone unless you're giving them a hand up! Walk away from that ignorance, you can't teach them anything now. Maybe you can help the kid.

Hey, friends, I am not going to make a big deal out of this by starting a new thread, but I'll be off of this site for a while. I am realizing that I get too wound up by some of these jabs and attacks on me, I find it very hard to step away from it, once it starts, and it's a lot healthier for me to just move away from the people who find me and jump on me. Like y'all were just saying: anger can really be dangerous for those of us who are in recovery. My hands are still shaking, from this last one.

I'll check for PM's from time to time, maybe lurk a bit, and maybe eventually start posting again. I'll be over at SMART Recovery online, too, because it's a great program with a whole lot less ongoing drinking and, from what I can see, a lot less nastiness. My name over there is Dae_Ja (it's the name my Zen teacher gave me...).

Be good, be strong, be well, dear friends.

Hey all, what have i missed? Still no sign of Oney? Oh i bet she will have a fab time.

Well i've had a busy afternoon with Cy at the dentist then shopping. Feeling very happy and positive today and intend to stay that way throughout december! Even though i've been having trouble again with the insurance company and my 3 years no claims bonus, but just let it all go over my head. Nothing is going to spoil my positive frame of mind.

            How is everyone?

            Wish xx

WIP, what happened? I guess I missed something. I like your posts a lot and will miss them if you leave.

I have heard some things about SMART recovery, though, and will look into it.

WIP'ster, sorry to see you leaving for awhile but I understand.

I wise person taught me that anything that I put in front of my sobriety I will lose, and I agree with that. You seem to be taking that to heart, and best of luck to you in your recovery.

I hope to see you soon and take care my friend.

I didn't think anyone but ourselves or RJ could delete a post. (in that I can delete my own post but not someone else's.)

Nope - there gone and I honestly don't know why. All I did was ask two members, very nicely, to not argue in a newbie thread, and then offered some advice to the OP.

Guess the new motto around here is shoot first, ask questions later.
