We have done pretty good up untl today you know... always been loads of post each day....i think its only today its been a bit quiet.

I think its been a dufficult week for this place Kapo, I cant get involved in anything either. It would be too dangerous for me too. Any extremes of emotion and it floors me just now...

Yeah Starty, also (and not wanting to offend here) - personally I find contention and debate boring. It's like, someone may ask me WHY I like the colour blue - I don''t know, I just like it! As far as my sobriety goes, I am sober because I like it! ( THAT is just as bloody well, because I wouldn't be far off dead otherwise!

I am keeping it simple!

I agree I have almost stopped wondering WHY I am an addict and just started to deal with it! And yes, I love being sober too although I find it hard sometimes...well, hard in as much as having to deal with stuff, emotions you know...instead of just obliterating them

Absolutely re the emotional sobriety. Getting sober is (awful) but relatively simple. It is the STAYING sober throughout the every day life of emotional highs and lows.

As for the WHY of it?? Like the colour blue thing - it doesn't REALLY matter (to me) It just IS!

Acceptance is the key to all my problems today. If I don't pick up the first drink, everything passes. And it just gets better!

Oh yes, it certainly does Kapo, the highs with sobriety are better than any alkie high and the lows are simply not as bad as alkie lows...
That positive attitude of yours will see ya through my girl!!!
