Oney, when I broke my leg and was in casualty, the surgeon asked if I smoked, I said no why? and he said that if I did I had to stop there and then or I might lose my leg...smoking stops our bodies from healing

Thanks Starts. She is very horrible - but I can deal with that by pitying her...( she is neurotic and full of fear, and not so easy on the eye LOL)..I think the hardest thing is that she endorsed my ex-hubbys's release from prison to her home where (after MUCH media seeking and BEGGING from me) he proceeded to offend against her (my daughter).. I know resentment leads me back to drinking, so I stay cool and trust a Higher Power. I am a frim subscriber in poetic justice also...How you doing starts?

I am doing bloody great Kapo, I feel so happy at the moment, kind of peaceful and excited about the future...its weird cos I am usually a fearful soul....but that was probably the substances .....

AWESOME, Starts - to be free from the bondage of active addiction is the greatest gift I have ever had. Like your dear self, the terror, bewilderment, frustration and despair is now of the past....YAY for us!

Me too O2M - and Real fruit smoothies. I don't do fizzy much - but a great recipe I like as a basic, cost effective start is Water & Walking!

A big helloooo to everyone else. Wish and i have just cleaned the house, and im going to cook a king prawn curry now.
Asked the neigbour to put some oil on the door, and she let me do it. She was no bother atall, and actually said she never hears me, but feels guilty for arguing all the time. Nice lady. I almost said the reason you dont hear me is because im collapsed on the sofa or in bed usually!!
Time to cook.

Evening all, i have sent the cards ... should hopefully get to you all before xmas, even though when i asked the guy in the post office about what stamps i need etc .. he told me i had missed the deadline for NZ by 10 days. So Kap yours might be a little late!!

Oney .... I hope you feeling better now. I can relate to your eating habits as i'm exactly the same .. Will not eat all day, smoke loads of fags and drink red bull. Cy keeps making glasses of water and shouts at me when i don't eat. Think i'll join yours and kapo's group!!

Must eat at regular invervals ....ok. No skipping meals. I'm gonna get myself some cereal bars to eat for breakfast as i can keep them in my car or in my bag ... will be great for mornings when i'm working.

Yes .... 2009 is the year for change. Must start looking after myself a bit better.

Just not drinking in 09 will be a big start for me. Getting back into work should get rid of the excess pounds!
