    Regualr meals for healthy reoveries! Mind, body and soul!

    Hi all - many of us in early recovery have abused our bodies more than a little....

    I am planning to start getting seriously conscious of my daily diet/nutrition and exercise regime....please jump on and we can all "Eat Ourselves Better" ....(That is also a song title by excellent Brit band The Fall!)

    Today (Tuesday for me): Have been for walk to beach.

    Peeled two carrots and eaten them and one nectarine.
    Making bran and apricot muffins after shopping.
    Will post lunch at the time - BUT WILL HAVE GOOD HEALTHY ONE!

    OK! Have just SHOCKED myself....

    9.25am Have eaten breakfast portion of apricot de-lite bran and rice based muesil. Delicious. Feel good! I haven't done that in perhaps more than two years. A good start!

      Hey there Wally! Jump in and join by posting your meals! It may be just what we need to avoid the shame of the reality of the CRAP we do choose! I, for one ain't rich financially, but it is Do-able!

        I had sugar puffs for brek.
        I had a chicken sandwich for lunch.
        Im making fresh king prawn curry for dinner.
        Had plenty of water, too much coffee, a cup of tea with 5 rich tea biscuits and half a can of red bull.

          Good one, O2M! Positive, pro-active post..... A really big part of my crap diet etc and smoking is due to sheer bloody vanity. Crazy ay, as one would think if I cared that much about my skin as well as my body shape, the fags would be long gone. Am going to try cutting RIGHT back. Have had one cig already, will try holding off next until after lunch

            Cy - great to see you. Not a bad daily foodie list mate! Way better than one day last week when you listed your intake - can't remember exactly but it was quite a few pkts of crisps, bread, bikkies.....so WAY TO GO!

              Today I had...
              Yogurt blueberries and ground seeds.
              Ryvita, marmite and tofu..
              2 bananas and a bunch of grapes,
              Veggie sausages, mixed veg, mashed potato
              Yogurt with figs and apricots.
              About 10 roses chocolates....

                      Oney, when i am not caring about myself I eat crap...
                      Now I am trying a bit better, I am usually pretty rubbish when rich is working lates because I dont bother with a proper dinner in the evening...but its amazing if you just eat this stuff you get used to it and like it....

                      Yep Kapo, been a veggie for many many years....studied nutrition a bit too.

                        have given up smoking today so i have dragged my slow cooker out and threw (literally) some chicken, a chilli, some lemon juice (with pips) some chicken stock (with bones) and my cigarette lighter. So there. Husband, you can eat it and enjoy it. Think i need some patches now.

                            well that's great because so do i lol!!!! haven't got many fingernails left.....and am moody as hell but hey..........no drinking and no smoking! i want to say 'wooohoooo' but at the moment just feel like kicking the christmas tree to bits!!!!!!
