Guess what? My boss has said I dont need to go back until the 5th Jan!!!! I am now officially on holiday!! He is being a bit of an a******e though, cos he wont confirm my date for leaving although its likely to be that first week of Jan....think he just likes to show who is boss...well, he is welcome to it..

No, still got to do that...I have to hand in my final assignment by 15th Jan...but at least now I will have the time for it....luxury...
I have to be very careful though, I know what I am like with too much free time and for me it isnt always healthy..If I am honest I am a little nervous

Morning All
ITS CHRISTMAS EVE in this part of the world! Yipee I am sooo excited. Lots of last minute things to do today. Plans for tomorrow include lunch with husband's family. His eldest sister is gay and she and her partner are hosting Xmas lunch for the extended family. Not that her being gay has anything to do with anything but just to annoy DH (who is slightly homophobic although he denies it) I keep saying things like - what time is the lesbian lunch on or what do we have to bring for the lesbian lunch! He just ignores me as per usual. God I am so easily amused.
Then later on in the avo we all go to another friend of mine who is hosting a big xmas dinner for every Irish waif and stray who is without their mammie this xmas. That will be fun too. Hopefully I will get through it all AF. I havent bought any AL and dont intend to.
Vlad you could just bring something else like nibbles or chocolates - that is what I will be doing.
Hope you are all well and looking forward to the big day. So much for Xmas in the sun - its lashing rain here but its supposed to clear up later.

Silly me it doesnt snow in Texas does it? Oh I would love cold right now. Cold and crisp with a big log fire lighting and Christmas mince pies with cardboard cut out children! But only just for the Day!

If you met my children you would understand. The teenage boy came back yesterday with a dyed blonde mowhawk strip down the middle of his head. Dear God I sometimes ask myself what did I do to deserve this - and then I remember I was a total gobshite myself as a teenager. It is true what they say what goes around comes around. I sure am getting mine! It would nearly drive you to drink. Not!
