Come on over Cy and bring Wishy
I will have way too much food here. There is only Christopher, Emylee and me. I am off to make a fruit tray. My door is always open.

Just boiled the shrimp for Mother's shrimp cocktail. Need to peel them, make the cocktail sauce, and wrap the pressies. I'll do a good 20 minutes on the treadmill, then 20 minutes meditation. Should be time, then to go over to the House of Dementia...

Watching out my front window, I can see people are driving like maniacs out there, all in a big hurry to get somewhere. It's 22 degrees (F) here... I hope this will be my last Christmas in the midwestern USA!

                    Hi Everybody

Here's wishing you all a wonderful Xmas- I am not celebrating at all this year- BF and I opened the shop and now we are at home- I have a tin of veggie sausages and baked beans and he has some mackeral for dinner. LOL.

having a bit of a tough time with the shop, hence the AWOL- I am glad to see everyone is fine and it seems no major struggles.

                    Till soon x

                          Merry Christmas One and All!!
I am sitting here waiting for everyone to get up. It is almost 11a and my hubs just opened his eyes. I see some empty beer bottles scattered around and a large empty bottle of wine. (I'm glad that is not MY trash!!) I will be doing my cooking later...we have a spiral cut ham for din din.

Everyone sounds great and gearing down after a high-energy day. I need to spend the day getting some laundry done to pack for my trip to Florida. I will have a belated Christmas with Mom and Dad before Mom's surgery....that will be nice as the holidays are always very important to them. I'll be going from heavy snow to 70F days. That part makes me happy....I will have 10 days relief from the cold!

I hope everyone got everything they wanted for Christmas and had gratitude for being sober and clear headed....I know I am. Oney, did WIP help you get your ipod sorted? Limey, I LOVE the Bishop's wife!!!! That show is a riot. Mom and Dad have some DVDs so I shall put them on for a watch when I go down there.

Love to all my DEAR FRIENDS here at MWO. I appreciate you all more than you will ever know!

MERRY CHRISTMAS to all! Had a real blow out last night with all the kiddos and grandkiddos here. In-laws got on my nerves, as usual, wanting to eat when they wanted to eat, but I stood my ground, and Hubs stood there with me. We ate as soon as the prime rib was done, and it was absolutely perfect! The crust was crunchy and tangy, the center medium rare. My turkey was perfect too, with a hint of lemon and rosemary permeating the meat. The meal was wonderful, even tho my cake was less than beautiful and kept sliding apart, it was SOOOOO rich and delicious. I didn't say anything when I saw my MIL cutting big chunks from the Prime Rib to fix for my kids to take home, even tho we'd already told them there would be any takeouts of it, but Hubs saw her and had a fit! They had about cleaned out all the food that was left by the time we went in the kitchen, and he let his mother know NOT to give away his food anymore, we had plans for it!
