Greetings one and all! Boxing day morning here - have not long awoken from a dream where there was a two car collision outside my house, which drew so much foot traffic, my neighbours started having garage sales - got boxing day shopping on the brain, no doubt!

I hope everyone has had/is having a super day - looks like it from the thread catch-up....RW, your pressies sound DIVINE!!

Well, folks I am going to have a wee bleat - as I feel comfortable with you all to do so....

Vea rang last night for Christmas Phone call, only to tell me he had returned a positive drug test (the fucking idiot thought drinking lots of water would negate it - i ASK you!) and so no visits for three months - I was due to head over today. It really, really bummed me out, and on CHristmas FUCKING day - So, taking a leaf from dear Oney's book here goes my vent:

Vea, Vea, I really wonder where

When you smoked that Crap
KNOWING you didn't even have
Any munchy bloody food

(Last bit doesn't rhyme - but, well!)

SO! I guess that will be my challenge over the nxt few days and weeks, but I really got to get over this pissed-off-ness and find some ACCEPTANCE pretty quick!

PHEW!

Other than that, Christmas was very nice here, spent the evening with my drunk-ish neightours, fireworks, and food .... no thought of drinking, but felt OK in the atmosphere.

Thanks guys, and yea, I agree with ya, Limers - he due for first parole August, but he will have to keep squeaky bloody clean from here on in - they can keep him til Oct 2010. Sigh! Oh well, I JUST had a text from my mate in CHch, she and her band are playing over here tonight, so I am going to put my glad rags on and go to the pub....she is in recovery, I actually met her in rehab in 2002. So pretty safe...

Sorry to hear about that Kap. Silly boy. You show him how its supposed to be done, and when he's out he can learn from someone like you Kap, and hopfully he will see from all the people on MWO what an inspiration and help you have been to all of us here, and that booze and drugs dont equal happiness, they equal lonliness and hurt. You really have done so well, and when he sees you every day LIVING and getting on with life rather than just exsisting, then lets hope he sees that there can be a bright future ahead without drugs and alcohol. Evening all, had a really nice day. It's been a really nice xmas day. Just catching up on the soaps then going to watch a dvd on Cy's new dvd player.
