It's a painting of the St. John's River, by Winslow Homer... Lake Monroe (which is in my front yard, in Florida) is part of the St. John's River system, a beautiful river, and I plan to spend a lot of time on that river in the next few years... hoping to float the whole thing, one of these days...








These are a couple of shots taken in the front yard (I've already posted them before), taken a couple of months ago when the flood waters were going back down...

Thanks y'all... I don't live there, yet, Limers. But I'm heading in that direction... I can't move away from Missouri, which is central USA, so long as my mother needs me here. But I'll be getting the house in shape, and will certainly enjoy having company!
