    Hi all, thanks again for all your well wishes and marbs i will try that, thanks. Going to have a really hot bath soon and hope that helps.

      Boil it! With any kind of peas or beans... makes great soup! Throw in some chopped onions and garlic... maybe some herbs... Put them in after it has boiled down some, and made a nice broth!

                  Hi everyone!,
                  Hope everyone had a great Christmas and is gearing up for 2009!
                  Sorry, haven't really had a chance to log in since Christmas morning - visiting family all day Friday and Saturday and was so sick with this cold I've had that my mother insisted that we stay with her until I was feeling better. She has no internet and we only got back home last night. Can relate to you Wish - I have never had a cold as bad in years. Hope you get better soon Wish - go to bed and try and get rid of it. Good thing for me was that I felt so sick I didn't really feel like doing much else than going to bed. Now I feel a bit more normal I am worried that the normal feelings will kick in if you know what I mean.

                    Hiya Bandy, well done for surviving the holiday season...even if you were ill. At least it got you over that hump so maybe a good thing?

                      Hey bandit!

                      Wippers, how long do I boil it? I'm serious, I can't cook. I've never even cooked beans so this is what you're dealing with. This will make a ham and bean soup? (I hate peas! LOL)

                              Ditto on the not feeling like cooking - have to make some dinner for my hubby now as he will be home from work soon - poor guy is working overtime all week as no-one else is in -also have to put the kids to bed soon as if I have to listen to High School Musical again I will be checking into the nearest mental hospital
