That's good news about Oney.

I got a great ham and bean soup recipe from your link, Cy, thanks. I HAVE TO SOAK BEANS IN WATER OVERNIGHT?! This is some friggin' serious cooking here!

Helo there all! It is New Year's Eve Morning here - I have not caught up on thread yet - too scared to - it keeps logging me off and emailing me new password? Weird - but I think my whole system needs a clean, as the computer just "ends programme" randomly. Jacob reckons I am riddled (well the cumputer!) with viruses, so I shall probably take it in today. I am singing tonight! Verrry excited and a bit nervous, have to be UTTER vigilant - really important not to take that first drink ALWAYS, more so even today. Shall catch up on thread shortly, just wanted to post before it logged me off again....

Be, you can get good black-eyed peas frozen. I am not fond of the canned ones but you can get those, too...

Boil the ham till the meat has pretty much come off the bone, and don't let it be too watery; you want it to have a lot of flavor!

Oh gawd- poor Oney, doesn't sound too great to me if she can't even log on.

Oh well, lets hope all is well tomorrow- just got back from the shop and I am beat. Still no news on the sick baby front (I posted yesterday asking for prayers) but I think no news is good news- if he had also died I would have heard by now.

Hiya Becoming - Black eyed peas - I only really know them as a band lol - and don't like THEM much anyway. How are black eyed peas different from usual peas????? And hope the cooking goes brilliantly, hon....what a great site this is for ALL SORTS of advice!
