Your kit is in a very peaceful place. Animals know when it is their time....sometimes it's not a time when we can do anything about it but they die in peace....they just go fully aware that they are loved!

Kitkatsue, hang in there. I know it's hard.
I have lost many pet's (I'm an animal freak) and it always hurts like crazy for a while.

As for the ex.... I used to unplug the phone, put my cell on silent and wait for the calls to stop. They do, you know.
