    Trippin' on Hpyno

Anyone falling asleep to the hpno discs? I feel like I'm going into a time vaccum when I listen to them... cant account for 20 minutes or so. Am I still absorbing the content while asleep?

Why did I wake up from one and feel like a drink?

Could be my horrific PMS, which by the way, is probably a huge trigger for me to drink anyway... thats for another forum.

Anyone having similar reaction to hypno?

That happed to me, Debbie. Listening to hypno seemed to be an invitation for "nap time". I was getting so frustrated! This is what I do now: I have to sit almost upright (though comfortable) and do my hypno in the morning. I can only do part 1 or part 2 at a time. If not, I'm gone. People say that if you do wake up during the count back up from 20-1 that you are deeply in trance, even if you don't remember it, but I haven't been comfortable with that; I want to have SOME memory, and I want to be able to give myself the suggestions. So I just do about 1/2 hour at a time, then do the rest later. Once you've done part 1 of the clearing and hypno, you dont have to do them all the time. Most of the time, I just do part 2, of each now.

The only thing that I can think of re the drink is that we didn't become problem drinkers overnight, and maybe part of you is fighting the suggestions or fighting the thought of letting go! When I was in trance the first time, I was imagining myself in a social situation without a drink, but my subconscious substituted a cigarette in my hand, a habit I gave up a long time ago! I had to work in later sessions to get rid of that image. Another member was on the beach (in the clearing cd) and there was a nice, inviting "beach bar" while she was under! LOL! So our desire to drink is a huge thing!! That's why it is recommended that we keep up with the hypno for a while, to really make sure that we are cementing the new habits and ways of thinking in our brains.

I plan on using the hypno cds for the rest of my life if I have to--although hopefully, I won't have to be doing them twice a week. RJ suggested in her book that monthy "tune ups" are good, and that sounds about right to me!!!

Anyway, I've written a book, but I hope this helps!!

    Good luck!

Glad I'm not the only one...

      Hi Kathy,

thanks for your response. Glad to know its probably "normal" to doze off during the CD. I'm figity and can only seem to listen while lying down, maybe that's my problem. I was zoning out during the count up for one of them, thought I was alert and heard the guy say "7" and then immediately skipped to 11. I thought it was some kind of hypno trick, and was surprised to hear all of the count the following day.

Something must be working though... Last night I caved and bought a bottle of wine. I had made it through two glasses and moved on to my third. Halfway through, I did a really strange thing. I thought, "ugh, enough." and then..... get ready, I POURED THE REST DOWN THE SINK! OMG! Usually I finnish the bottle and then get into the cooking wine, which really does cook my insides. (anyone interested in a six month old carafe of Paul Mason Merlot? It really comes in handy for tough jobs like, removing varnish from furniture.)

Well, I'm hopeful. Maybe there's moderation after all.

That's great, Deb. I'll think of that if I need to remove some varnish!! Problem with me is that even bad wine doesn't last six months around here!!! LOL. Good for you for pouring it down the sink. The hypno really does work though. It's amazing!!!

        Hugs,
