I have two retired ones, two broodies, one bull terrier, one mongrel and the rest are racing or pups.
I have put one dog through the adoption programme, it's great,he comes to visit occassionally and I get photos of him all the time. The people are going to take his brother too when he retires. It's a blessing knowing these great dogs are going to have a nice home to retire in.It's time I put my big girl pants on. :grannypants: I hope they fit.Comment

I know what you mean - and it happens in all aspects of the dog world.
Greyhound Trainers, Puppy Farmers, Irresponsible breeders etc.
The stake money in racing is an upside to having the dogs, but I enjoy trying to breed the best race dog I can and that's through picking the right mating, rearing the pups the best I can, giving the pups the experience they need to be well rounded.
Greyhound racing is in jeopardy of being shut down because of dick heads that mistreat their dogs.It's time I put my big girl pants on. :grannypants: I hope they fit.Comment
