Got myself a similar Dell unit for Christmas. I forget what is available, but be sure to get the best audio built in that you can afford. I didn't realize that I chose the more economical (this is my first laptop) of what was offered and I am disappointed in the sound quality. I end up using earphones for things I REALLY want to hear. Just a thought. It's quite an investment.

Dell 1525 because...
For a limited time they offered Windows XP instead of Vista in certain models.
I got my daughter a WorkPro (Apple) and now I wish I'd spent a few more dollars on myself!!

Startingover:You don't want to be carrying around speakers for a laptop, probably. It defeats the whole purpose of portability, no? In a laptop, the speakers are built in and tend to sound "tinny", Get the best they offer,IMO.It is not how much we have, but how much we enjoy, that brings us happiness.
