    Smoke Free Lifesytle

I have just joined the Chantix support website. Funny the first thing they have you do is keep a smoking log for 24 hours. You can download and print it from the site and either tape it to your cigarette pack or secure it with an elastic band. You also write down how you are feeling at the time that you have the cigarette or if it is just out of habit. It seems like a very supportive site. I am also going to check out Quit.net. Thanks.

LTG, that is insane. My insurance not only covered Chantix, they also cover all sorts of support groups, stop smoking, weight loss, etc.

I just need to say something here.
I quit smoking many years ago.
People told me that I would never stop craving.

                  It's a lie.

I find the thought of lighting up nauseating.

                  Keep going and good luck.

                      Hi All,
Thanks for you inspiring words Veritas.
LTG, when I filled the Chantix prescription there was a card in the box. It has a personal PIN on it, which I had to enter to sign up for support. The website is Quitting – CHANTIX Official Site – CHANTIX is a Prescription Medicine to Help Adults Quit Smoking. Do you have Chantix, or are you planning to use it? So far it is just making me a bit nauseous and tired. I learned to definitely eat before I take it. It is starting to make some of my cigarettes seem unnecessary and disgusting. One day closet to Quit Day.

I am planning on the patch because insurance does not pay for any smoking ceasasion products. I can get a script from doc but would have to pay cash. Maybe it's worth it though.

The patch did not work for me, but I think it was just bad timing. I think that you really have to be ready to stop. It's gonna be tough to change a 30+ year habit.

I've been a "non-smoker" for one year. Hoorah! I have tried many times, but this time I read a book called Allan Carr's Easy Way To Stop Smoking After I read it, I smoked my last cigarette and have never looked back. It was too easy. I couldn't quit using willpower. I couldn't stop drinking using willpower either.
