    Army Thread 9th January

    hahaha... i'll try
    AF since 15th March 2010

The journey is the goal. As long as you're fighting the good fight and you're not giving up on giving up, you're winning. It's not about how often you get knocked down, it's about how often you get up again. Sobriety the goal for sure. But striving to get to that goal is what it's about. Not getting there. Because the journey never ends. The journey is the goal.

Limer's. One thing that stands out to me, about you, is not just your great humour, but your strength.

Gat - Trace dam good, Marshall obviously right up there, but I have even had very good luck with a wee old Ashton, it does the trick especially when I've been busking etc...

Limers - you CAN do it - I have recently turned 40, and I remember many serious attempts since turning 30 - we quite simple cannot process the al (livers/kidneys/brains etc) as well anymore, and the marching of time as good a reason as any. I am bloody proud of you, Limey - you are a damn true trooper - will be thinking of you all weekend, and look forward to checking out how you are gettin on x

I randomly selected some rental dvds yesterday, have just started watching one called WAH WAH - set in 1969 Swaziland, and I had NO idea, but so far (about half an hour in) a HUGE part of it is the effect of a young man from 8-16 years coping with his father's EXTREME alcholism. It is a great eye-opener (I was never a violent drunk parent, but often a maudlin or just unavailable one) and it is a good movie so far - just thought I would share that with y'all

Ah Kap, thanks a mill, there are so many reasons I want to succeed but the main one is the negative influence im having on Emma, (11yrold). On christmas eve she had 2 glasses of champers w in my friends and she was actually slurring her words a little, I was horrified with myself! Shes 11 . Im teaching her that we cant have a good tme without booze cos every celebration I crack open the champers and its all bullshit.
