OMG
Just read all that - you guys are sooo good. That was so incredibly scary. LTG you did so good. I hope she is okay. I took the chantix and had no side effects at all but I only took it for a month and I never did double up on the dose after 10 days which is what I think sea did just the other day. The big dose obviously kicked in. I was just talking about it last night with my SIL who also took it around the same time I did and she said she felt very down on it especially when she upped the dose. Its dangerous stuff for some. Anyway well done all.
CYM - where is the wedding on? I could go in your stead!

Hi everyone,

Just checking in to say hi and I hope everyone's day/evening is going great.

Tonite I am cooking for a friend in honor of her mother's birthday. She passed away and my friend wanted to celebrate her life. I can't afford to go anywhere to eat so I offered to cook. I will cook some bleu cheese stuffed filets with a great big salad, some potatoes and probably some broccoli. She will bring the cake. It will be nice and there will be no alcohol.

Tomorrow a dear friend from high school is coming here to stay for a few days with her son. She now lives in San Diego after Hurricane Katrina and we haven't seen each other in years. I am hoping to be strong enough not to drink. She loves to have a good time but is not a problem drinker. Not as far as I know. I will stay strong and not go there (hopefully). It pisses me off that I have to even think about this. It seems like a waste of thoughts.

Going to run to the store. Maybe will check in later

I am good - you should get an early night after that trauma. Glad you were all there for her. I am sure she wil be fine once she stops taking the champix.
I was pissed off about almost smoking last night but putting it in perspective its not that big a deal really when you think about it.

NZ... If you really want to make it through AF, then make up your mind in advance that you WILL NOT drink... telling yourself (and others) that you "hope" you won't drink leaves a lot of ambiguity and room for thoughts, urges, inner arguments... And I hope you have a good time with your friends!

Yes it is a pain anticipating and having to think about all those potential drinking occasions but sometimes thinking about it is the hardest bit and the actual event is not as hard. Have you told her you are not drinking? If not you should tell her as soon as she arrives and then once you have put it out there you will look like a dick if you sucuumb. And dont buy any Al and then you cant drink it!

Hello all! Had a busy evening doing the grocery shopping and pinching some tops off my mum to wear for my friend's wedding in 2 weeks time. We are more or less the same size, and my mum has good taste in clothes.

Hi vlad and WIP
Well I am off to throw myself into the sea. I hope there are no sharks today. Me and the kids had to run out of the water the other day due to a big shark cruising past. The lifeguard had only got to shout Sh.... and I was out of the water like a polaris missile. I was out of the water so fast I almost got run over by a bus on the main street. I was throwing woman and children behind me..... on the basis that a shark can only eat one person at a time....
