    A question..

    Im just going to have to retrain my whole way of thinking about sex. I was brought up by a very catholic woman and there is no doubt some of that catholic 'sex is bad' thing has rubbed off on me.I feel ready to del with this now and I truly dont want to go into my 40s with all these issues..ie.alcohol, sex , low self esteem. ITS NOW OR NEVER!!For me...

      What about those husbands who are not interested in sex? Like my ex. Will someone please explain that to me. I am really really not a bad looking woman. I am so afraid if I get married again that will happen. This really is a concern of mine.

        limers I call it CGGS or Catholic Girl Guilt Syndrome and it lasts forever believe me I'm 55 and haven't practiced since I was 19 and it still lurks. You can suppress it but don't mean to sound like a downer here I don't know what those Catholics do, put it in the water I guess and sorry don't mean to offend anyone who is still practicing and believes, really and truly I don't but those of us who have left have left for a reason. Good luck with it limers.

          It's not just catholics, peeps... my mother thought me that sex was part of 'marriage duties' - and that's about it. She told me early on about some 'sick people who practice oral sex and the likes' LOL

          It takes time limers.. but you can get over it. Admittedly, I don't think I'll ever be quite as uninhibited as some (at least not sober) but with an understanding partner you can definitely overcome most of that. And actually, Evie's suggestion would aid greatly with that as well.
          Okay, WHO put a stop payment on my reality check?

            OK I HAVE TO CHIME IN

            I am a 55 year old male.
            I was married for 20 years and had a fantastic sex life.
            I do think there is a big difference from having sex to making love.
            Sex to my wife and I was rip each others cloths off up against the wall sweaty, fall on the bed exhausted.
            Love making was lots of soft touching,lots of kissing, oral and slow and sensual .
            We would plan dates and keep them no matter what (well if there was a fire then that got in the way.
            We did the "dirty bookstore" thing, video's, role playing.
            Actually the worst sex was the type that we HAD to have to get her pregnant (I had a average amount of little swimmers and her net had a few holes.
            I think what messed us up for awhile was the 5 miscarriage's she had.
            Now that I am divorced and not in a relationship. I miss sex of course(my right hand has never kissed me back after all these years .
            However I really miss making love(this is going to sound so self serving but it really is not, it's the truth)
            I miss pleasuring the woman I am with.
            Nothing gets me "hotter" than to see( and hear) my lady climaxing, knowing that it is me who is the one responsible for it.(actually that may indeed be a ego thing, but if she is not bothered by it then what the hell
            I am a very lucky man, there are a lot of men out there who have a hard time(no pun intended) with erectile dysfunction and lady's that is something a man will avoid at all costs to the extent that they will avoid getting into any situation that may lead to sex.
            I have not had the pleasure in over 18 months and quite frankly, I could knock a hole in a 4x4 (I pity the next lady
            This might sound silly and shallow but, men love to be told they are the greatest lovers in the world(even if they know there not) a mans sexual ego is as fragile as an egg.
            Some of the worst sex I ever had was when the lady I was with laid there like a slab of butter, you couldn't tell whether she had climaxed or hiccupped.
            If you want to get more sex from the old man tell him he's the best and carry on like a banshee at the right time, and if you are still not getting him to come across call Sean at 1-800-555-6748 :H:H
            Now to Evies claim about sperm being a fantastic age repellent, sperm is full of protein an ingredient in a lot of skin softeners and she may have a point, my belly is the softest place on my body As far as masturbation, I too was raised Catholic and was never felt to believe sex was bad (lets face it catholics have a lot of sex, look how many there are of us)
            So there's my 10 cents worth take it for what it's worth.

                        im with you, what about the men who lose interest. But evie, your post about what we are and what we radiate seems to make a lot of sense to me too.

                        We morning people, so it was at the best scenario, not drunk, and at the worst, hungover! But can be quite a good cure.....

                        Im gonna work on the self esteem, looking sexy from the inside out, and see where I go.....

                                Darlings! I don't even get to have fecking PHONE sex at the mo :H - However - seriously, I have always been a bit of a prude - even in my alcoholism I just wanted to DRINK, thankyou, bugger the sex. I have had two very loving relationships in my life, the second one being with Vea, my current relationship. However, with both of these, I had to be DRUNK the first time being intimate, not sure why - probably just terribly self-conscious. In the last year, Vea and I have been sober for about 8 months of it, on and off, and the physical side of us has really kept us on track. At least 4x per week, but that is about LOVE, guys, REAL TRUE LOVE.....it is very hard being without him....(Shite, Kappers is getting soppy! - I think I would only ever admit that to you guys!)
