ARMY Thread Tuesday 20th January 2009

I really wish the News folks would stop focusing on Inauguration weather, and my poor deceased great, great, great, great, grandpa William Henry Harrison.

Hi there River, Minty, Wishy, Cyberman, Seabers and if I missed anyone. Sorry!
Just back from a "budget" pampering session at the hairdressers. Budget because I want / need to keep up appearances but dont want to spend the dosh that I was on such luxuries now that I am unemployed. So i'm thinking of ways to save money without suffering at the moment.
River, Minty, its lovely to see you both back...we've missed you!
Sea, like oney says, you have really pulled yourself together in the last week, i am proud of you.
Cy, yes, please dont muck around with your ADs far too dangerous buddy...

Sea, I would imagine with your family connections you are top of the list for the Inauguration party. Please give my regards to Obama. :H

          Thanks Oney
LOL River, never gave it a thought. We have been working on the ancestry for quite some time. There seems to be a "missing" link. I do know that we are direct descendants on my Mum's side to William Henry and Benjamin Harrison. Yep, I am Irish, British, Polish, Catholic and Protestant. No wonder I'm Fecked.lol

LOL Sea! That's cool, I'm a big genealogy buff. I'm Finnish - have made it as far back as 1490's. Nothing exciting, just a bunch of AF farmers. So what the heck happened to me? At least you have an excuse! LOL:H

First thing I did when I woke up was turn on the weather to see what DC was gonna be like...My Dad was a Capital Policeman and he would always brag about being involved with Inauguration day...He got to wear his dress up uniform and all his pretty metals, if it wasn't so cold that he had to wear a coat that covered them all up ....Boo Hoo...LOL

                        Hi

Watching the inaguration also with tears rolling down my face. Yes, history is being made. I only pray that Obama can help get us out of the mess Bush has put us in.

It is truly a day that we have all been waiting for...I am so HAPPY !!!! I believe with all my heart and soul that Obama is the reincarnation of Abraham Lincoln...He's come back to work on unfinished business...and a GOOD job he will do (I believe) . I cringe at all the assassination talk going on all over the TV today...Thoughts are things and I pray they stop putting that THOUGHT out there !!!
