Hey Starfairy
We have a thread on just that topic already - "you know you are an alcoholic when". It hasnt been active for a while but with lots of new people we might get it going again. I will see if I can find it for you and bump it. Some horror stories in there - its funny but tragic at that same time.

Drinking like a normal person

I to began to drinking quite heavily very young. There is alot of alcoholism in my family. But, for me personally I guess I'm just wired different from people that can "have just 1" and then quit for the evening. I have learned to listen to my body better and identify so many of the "triggers" that were making me want to drink.
