    Army Thread 22nd January

Things never make you happy, because you always want the next latest 'thing' and then the one after that.
Listen for God's voice in everything you do, everywhere you go; He's the one who will keep you on track. Proverbs 3:6 The Message

A balance yes. I agree. I was like a man on a tightrope after a bottle of vodka.

We need to learn to be content with what we have - then we will recognise the blessings we have in life.

Evening all. Just popping in to say goodnight. The party was great, had a really good time. All the children had a great time, my sister had hired a big kids play area (with ball pits and slides). All the adults played in the play area too, was great fun, i felt like a child again! The baby looked absolutley gorgeous in her party dress. She has such a character about her now, it's wonderful to see.

            Hope everyone is good?

I'm going to watch a bit of tele then time for sleep, i get a lie in tomorrow (no work!!!)

            Sweet dreams all x x

I think the difficulty is finding new friends who share a common interest.

Oney - you came here because YOU felt uncomfortable about YOUR drinking.

Then she said..."I think you are dwelling on that AF thing too much....after all a 74cl bottle of vodka used to last you nearly a week-how does that pose a problem, you were always the one to keep it together and bring us all home and I cannot think of one time you did something that was bad....you are not a feckin alkie...now cop on"
Oney, no one can tell you how you feel about anything, but I can see how this is upsetting. Its because you are changing and moving on, people dont like it...I think they feel threatened
Last year, rich bumped into a guy we used to do a lot of drugs with, We went round to his house and he was still exactly the same as all that time ago...I had totally moved on and although I got right back into it while i was there, i realised that I never wanted to spend time with people like that again...so that friendship like the others had to go..
Plus you know how the drink affects your head, no one else does, no one else lived through the despair that you did, the guilt and all the negative feeilngs that go with it. Dont let anyone else influence you on this
