    ARMY THREAD Jan 25th 2009

    Morning all!

Kap when I opened the shop I just had to get a landline put in straight away as although it was not 100% necessary as I have the mobile for calls and internet I needed the landline incase people came in who wanted to chat when I was not in the mood, so I can call myself from one phone to another and pretend its my mum or something to get rid of them.

Very Strange behavoir, or do 'normal' people do that too??!!

Hey WIshy! Great to have seen you before I park up for the night. Hope you feeling better.
Starts - indeed, what these so-called normal people take for granted as "socialising" can quite honestly bore me shitless. I can be dreadfully anti-social and really quite cynical about the whole of the non-alcoholic human race. They just do not seem to "get it" - and can often seem to me to be so CONSUMED by sheer NOTHING. I really have to practice tolerance and acceptance sometimes. And also the respect of genuinely LISTENING to some of these weird folk....often times I just don't bother, however, It can all seem so fucking TEDIOUS! x

LOL, Marby! I make up excuses daily for that sort of thing....and am learning it is OK - FAR BETTER, in fact, than being rude....ya know....we COULD just say. "why don't you just SOD off as you are a boring git" - but really it is not the others fault, nor is it mine. I am just QUITE happy being alone a lot - especially when I am not being paid a healthy hourly rate :H
Starts - I am far too good at the "act" - it gets mighty tiring, however x

Kap, that is so great to hear you say that....it makes me feel better...I just hardly ever socialise, but I do worry that i might isolate myself too much...living and learning eh?
Sleep well my dear friend x

And Starts - as far as the "scratch the surface and there is nothing there" lark goes - I used to TRY TRY TRY so dam hard to be "deep" etc. Today I accept that I am just NOT! I am shallow, fickle and superficial!!! :H :H :H I mean, I care deeply for my loved ones and many things..........I think!? But I don 't really give a shit about the ozone layer or the world recession. Sorry

LOL yes...my non-drinking BF can sit in a bar for hours with his friends drinking coffee and just talking- it bores me rigid. I would rather take the dogs out, go and sit somewhere nice and read or go shopping- ANYTHING!!

Yes starts - One of the BEST draws for me to you and all at MWO is the level of pure understanding. We 'get it" with each other. That is a gift beyond price x

I think most of us try to put on an act to be accepted and liked by others. It has taken me 44 years to find out that is a bunch of crap and if no one likes me it doesn't matter too much.

My mum just phoned from N.Z and she had been drinking. She denied it, but i just know she had. I hate my mum when she drinks. She used to have a problem, doesnt now, but when she drinks she gets so defensive. I asked her and she said 'no' and then gave me the impression that she thought id been drinking. Pisses me off so much. I just said i had to go, and she she thinks its cause im drunk. No, she is, and i dont want to speak to her like it. Think she would think a bit fecking more about it wouldnt you. I need a cig reallly really really bad!!
