She used to have a problem, doesnt now, but when she drinks she gets so defensive. I asked her and she said 'no' and then gave me the impression that she thought id been drinking. Pisses me off so much. I just said i had to go, and she she thinks its cause im drunk. No, she is, and i dont want to speak to her like it. Think she would think a bit fecking more about it wouldnt you. I need a cig reallly really really bad!!
Aw Cy, she shouldn't do that knowing your own issues- but I guess like the rest of us when she has a drink inside she doesn't think straight.

Are you quitting cigs? Don't have one it wont help!! What about a smoothie or a juice or something and a breath of fresh air?

                          Anecdote of the Jar

                          Wallace Stevens

I placed a jar in Tennessee,
And round it was, upon a hill.
                          It made the slovenly wilderness
                          Surround that hill.

The wilderness rose up to it,
And sprawled around, no longer wild.
The jar was round upon the ground
And tall and of a port in air.

                          It took dominion every where.
The jar was gray and bare.
It did not give of bird or bush,
                          Like nothing else in Tennessee.
OK everyone, I am up early in the morning in Chattanooga, Tennessee! I just remembered this Wallace Stevens poem, we read it in my high school English class... I never understood it but always remembered it... perhaps before I leave I will place a jar in Tennessee... or maybe not. Sounds as if that jar was not a good thing at all... perhaps it was a jar of moonshine whiskey....

I got a good night's sleep and am ready to hit the road again.

I am hearing in today's thread that many of us feel like loners, at least sometimes... I certainly am that way, as well, and I am fighting it. I do treasure my time to myself... but I certainly can and do become too isolated. If/when I move to Florida, it will take some effort to get out among people, meet new people and get involved in the community.... especially if I start up a new business, there.

I think that isolation can take on a bit of a life of its own, somewhat like alcohol abuse (and we all know they go hand in hand). It contributes to depression and anxiety... so I think that forcing myself to have more human contact than is necessarily easy or comfortable for me is part of my program of recovery. Kind of like exercise and meditation. Stuff I need to do, in order to stay healthy and AF...

I hope everyone has a good Sunday.... I hope Cardiff trounces Arsenal!!!
