Happy Robert Burns(Scottish poet) NIGHT !!!

I am so in love with Rabbie Burns poems...Today is his 250 yr. Birthday. Tonight Haggis is being served, in his honor, where ever Scots gather. This morning my sweet love (who is Scottish) served me coffee as he read this poem by Rabbie..

    A Red, Red Rose
    by Robert Burns

O my Luve 's like a red, red rose
That 's newly sprung in June:
O my Luve 's like the melodie
    That's sweetly play'd in tune!

As fair art thou, my bonnie lass,
So deep in luve am I:
And I will luve thee still, my dear,
Till a' the seas gang dry:

Till a' the seas gang dry, my dear,
    And the rocks melt wi' the sun;
I will luve thee still, my dear,
While the sands o' life shall run.

And fare thee weel, my only Luve,
And fare thee weel a while!
And I will come again, my Luve,
Tho' it were ten thousand mile.

I know I'm late on this one, but so glad to read it! My g'mother, born in 1891 in on the Indian Reservation of her Maternal g'mother, told me she remembers her g'father, a Scottish immigrant, with a 'heavy Scottish brogue and a flowing red beard'. How I would love to ask her more questions! No wonder I love the Scottish history!!!
