Sorry Cy but this post has upset me. I know your going through a really tough time and you have an addiction which is hard to overcome and stop. However, you saying that "do i really want to stop" has upset me. Yer you get a buzz from drink, it makes you forget your problems etc but do you really want this for the rest of your life? You carry on with your drinking and you will lose everything. It's your choice Cy please think about it carefully as the rest of your life you have to live with this decision unless you do something about it!

We were affected last month by the ice storm. People were without electricity for weeks. It is a wintery mix of mostly snow this morning. We are supposed to get about a foot of snow. School is cancelled and I am looking forward to making a snowman with my girls today!

I don't feel comfortable commenting on your personal relationship here, Wish & Cym, but I feel it's good for Wish to make her reactions known, and it's also good for Cym to be honest and TRULY try to discover WHY he does these things. One thing I know as an absolute truth, from MY experience, is that our excuse 'I'm only hurting myself' is a crock of s*&t!!! I could list you every family member of mine and how I've hurt and affected them. So sometimes it does have to figure in our thinking what we're doing to those who love us, or we will just have to live a selfish, lonely life. Just my opinion. (And I LOVE you both!)

hi everyone. frikkin cold here,25 below no wind as of yet,but im a northerner,not an eskimo, hahaahah,no igloos here,well,interwsting day yesterday,docs office cancelled my cancelled appt,now see the speccialist on feb 23,good for me ,maybe, i mt not have to work this winter,which brings me that much closed to retirement,odd tho 1st thot was to have a drink, second was to tell my wife my thots when she got home from work,cy see its not only you.all the research in the world wont take the ugly thinking away,eveen tho i will suggest,www, sillworth ,The Prevention of Alchoholism, A Challenge to the Catholic Clergy written in 1950 Rensselaer,before i would go to treatment.this gentle man toughed it out with many a drinkers,i find his work inspirational, and its so easy to find,just a quote fro the start of this study,Alchoholism causse its such a social problem,has bcome a study of scientific and lay research,M any theories are being advanced as to what it is and why alchoholics or heavy drinkers, so not to offend,stigma with [alchoholic], are the way they are,It has become a very lucrative study for many.Outof a phantasmagoria of conflicting and often esoteric theories based on scant clinical studies ,two sharply defined but quite divergent diagnosis have been found,Ist that the desease is purely psilogical,a glandular malfuction caused by a disturbed metabolism 2nd that it is purely pscilogical,aalchoholicss are essntial inadequate,mentally undeveloped,people,escapists,egocentrics, even pscopaths.the findings of the studies, are hostile,to each other , i could go on a nd o, but read it for yourself,im not the best typer, it would take me months,its just a new way for me to look at my addiction, tht maybe it would give you somthing to do when you get the feeling of drink,what works for one might do nothing for another,im ramblin,see what happens when you have nothing but time,cause by now as i said to my better half,i would normally be with my old freind,so is not the case,are we so not normal, i care for all of you and the tretment place i went to also said,gyco its time to take careof You
