I dont do anything by halves!
Last time I gave them up (a few years ago now) I got through the cold turkey with a couple of bottles of wine a day...not recommended. lol I even took a week off work so I knew I could have my wine for brekkie....embarrassing or what!!!!

No me neither its all or nothing! I used to chain smoke when I was drinking and then rarely if ever smoke when I wasnt drinking (between binges). I dont think I ever got up and had wine for breakfast but I was certainly still up and drinking at breakfast time on many occasions! Not proud - definitely not proud! It is quite bizarre really that a person can actually recover physically from that kind of abuse. The body is an amazing thing - well the inside is. The outside needs a bit of work though!

Hi all, good to be here. Worked 12 hrs, then went to a work birthday party. Felt a bit nervous, first time out in that sense since I got sober (again) - 17th November. Got Jacob to empty a vodka cruiser bottle and fill it with water, so pretended I was having a drink - better than getting pestered, I thought! Anyway, stayed about 45 mins, and it was OK! Dam glad to be home tho.
Haven't checkd out thread yet, but hoping all good....

Hope you all have a really good day - bed time for me. Off to Christchurch after work tomorrow - staying with my Jordan and his flatmates - undoubtedly will take them to fill up the cupboards to the supermarket etc - will be great fun staying with them ( positive outlook:H) - then it is my dad's birthday Tuesday, so will stay there Tuesday night. Shall be seeing Vea for an hour on Tuesday afternoon YAY!! Not far off two months since I last saw him. Shall check in when I am on my dad's computer. Blessings all x
