I have noticed it getting worse, especially in the 6 months since I quit weed. I feel it has maybe something to do with the reason my binges are lasting for 2-4 days. I cant deal with the emotional part of my alcoholism. The denial and guilt, so I continue drinking to keep those feelings at bay. But I do it to such a point that when i stop drinking, physically cant anymore its like hitting a brick wall and my emotions go haywire. My brain works overtime, thinking this and that and cant calm down for days.

cy, years ago when I stopped smoking weed I began to drink more, too. I forgot about that until you just mentioned it. It's such a form of self-medicating, the two together, I mean.

I did just the opposite. I stopped drinking for several years, but smoked weed everyday.

I can't touch the stuff anymore. I remember driving my brother to lots of AA meetings 'till he found a few he liked. It took a while.

Oney I saw a sandwich on No Reservations last night called Three Little Pigs. It was bacon, sausage and pork chop topped with an egg.

Thats what I did. Stopped drinking for years and started smoking green in 'buckets' A 2 litre bottle in a bucket. Ive never liked fags that much and spliffs gave me headaches. Thing was I was smoking 10 maybe more a day when I was off work, and often smoked in work too as everyone did.

It takes awhile to feel comfortable and get to know people. They say it is a good way to meet people if you get a job in the group. I used to make coffee at meetings at a rehab and I knew lots of people.
