Morning guys
Starts and Oney you girls are doing so well. I am sending positive thoughts your way. I used a patch recently when I had a massive one off craving (as you know) and that helped but I hardly ever get cravings now. It is so good not buying any ciggys. The thing I found the hardest at first was finding something to do with my hands - so mostly I ate!
CYm fair play to you for going to AA. I have a friend that goes every week and she looks forward to it. She says they have a great laugh and sometimes they have such a good laugh she feels like saying to the group we should all go out for a drink! At one of her meetings when they were talking about the benefits in their life from not drinking/drugging etc she said she had reconnected with a friend (me!) now that she was not drinking. She described some of our previous boozehag exploits at the meeting and at smoko a guy in the group came up to her and said that wasnt BH (me) you were talking about! Jeez can you believe it! Anway I just wanted to say CYM once you get over the initial nervousness which is perfectly normal I am sure it will be just fine. Good luck.

I know my good name ruined! Interestingly I would never have guessed that this guy had drink problems either. You just never know do ya. I was at a funeral yesterday for a woman aged 86 (who had a great life - and really inspired me to be a better person - that was until I got home and saw the mess of the house and turned back into the bitch from hell!). My son said to me recently you were much nicer when you were drinking! I certainly did let them get away with more cos I was probably too sick to care or my head was pounding so bad I couldnt shout at them.
Well when I saw all the old dears at the funeral I realised that at age 46 I could still have another 40 years of life. What an exciting thought that was considering I was not long for this world not all that long ago. The moral of the story is if you feel old hang around with older people then you will feel young again!
