After my last binge, when i finally collapsed i spilt ming mong cheap cider on my carpet. I have tried everything to get it out. Water, carpet cleaner, shake n vac(didnt put the freshness back!) and the smell just seems to be worse. You can smell it as soon as you come in the house. Its horrible, but im running out of ideas as to how to get rid of it.
      Any ideas???

Thats a great post Leeky. when your feeling down, never forget where you were yesterday, a week ago, year or years. Remember how far you have come, but also remember how easy it is to pick up that first drink and be right back where you were.

Thank you Limey, it does help to remember...you are a great friend x

Cy, try biological washing powder, I know that works on cat pee, it breaks the enzymes down or something so it might work on ming mong cider :-)

I'm up way too early this morning (in Georgia, USA) . I got up at 5:30. My husband is still in bed and he is usually the early riser. I woke up thinking of all the things I was able to do since I didn't drink the night before. I started a thread about it. Join in please!

Thanks to all the Army for giving me words of wisdom in all of your post!

Only stone underneath. I have done it before with wine, and got it out easy, but cheap cider seems to want to stay. It gives me a headache.

Hiya April, Good to see you hear, will go and have a look at your thread! Well done!

Oh yeah, soda crystals is another good one. If you mix them with vinegar that even gets rid of limescale!!!! Not slimeball limescale but that stuff you get round the taps....
