Sorry to hear about your brother and anyone else who has lost property or lives in Victoria. The toll has risen to 96. 750 homes burnt out so far and they are still counting because they can't get into a lot of areas still. I think my parents and brother are okay. The fires came very close to my parents and they are still on a vigil. I don't know about my brother. No news from fires in his town, although very close, so I hope no news is good news. I'm two states away and cannot get any first hand information tonight. I hope to be able to do so tomorrow. Captnjack, which town? Guitarista, which town? Please give them my condolences.

I am so sorry for your brother, Capt, but so glad he is at least alive. I am praying for all our Aussie friends here.

You are so right Capt. We have been raping our dear Mother Earth for years. She is just tying to survive. Hopefully we can finally see the light and turn things around. I pray for our future also.

Oh Captn, thanks for bringing this to everyones attention. My family is in NSW but it's just TERRIFYING what's happening - I cry just to think about all the lives & property lost. And to think some have been deliberately lit...some people are f***ing sickos.

ATM up north in Townsville / Ingham we are flooded out 1200 mls in the last 13 days
the rivers are bursting their banks plus we have had king tides too
