I'm back. Hope I didn't scare Krigs to death. I'm a bit southwest, and nearer the storm area. My doors and windows started to slam and trees were going down bhind us. I HATE tornadoes. You never know where they are going!sigpic

I was sitting on my front porch one night, smoking, thinking farawy highway traffic was SO loud. Next day I found out a tornado a ripped a path, destroying houses, just a 1000' from where I was sitting, and my family was sleeping upstairs. I take them very seriously now. I've lost friends, and friends have lost all their possessions over the last few years.sigpic

L, it's always worse out there. I couldn't live out there w/o a basement! My G'mother was born in 1891, on the Choctaw Indian Reservation in Oklahoma Territory. Her G'father was a Scottish immigrant. She told me she couldn't wait to move to Georgia to the family land after she married my G'father, b'cause she hated the land out there. I asked her why, cause I thought it was romantic to think of the cowboys and Indians and deserts. She said she hated the sand, sun, scorpions and elephant's tail.sigpic
