Sorry that you are feeling like crap.

I think the flare ups on this board and others like it, come with the territory. it is difficult to have a site inhabited by a bunch of alcoholics, some paranoid and neurotic, others just unhappy, distressed or having a hard time and expect all to be well.

It is also very hard to be on the receiving end, but don't let it turn you to drink- Al is always waiting there in the wings for reasons like that. At least some good comes out of everything though- you have been shown what one of your stronger triggers is, and next time might be able to think through it differently.


Well first things first, get something healthy down your neck! Have you got any lemons there? A lemon squeezed into a liter of water always help bring me round.

I really need to get going but got stuck on a couple of other threads... did somebody put something in the water, these past couple of days? Where is all this animosity coming from?

Very nasty. However, I would like to clarify something - and I am not being sarcastic or a smart ass.... IF someone (say me - and no, I did not) were to drink one day or even several - would it be NOT OKAY to come here during or after? I'm serious. I don't think there is an etiquette spelled out somewhere on this forum, is there?

Sunny, this is the first place I would come..
i would expect to have some try to use it to hurt me but i would not let them keep me from getting the support that i would need to get back on track..
I hope you would feel like you could speak your truth. Otherwise this site is missing being what it was created for...don't you think??

No sunshine, there is no ettiquette, the MWO program is based on moderating- RJ looked for ways to control her drinking- otherwise I guess she would have just popped an antebuse every morning and been done with it.

Some members here are strictly AF others are trying to mod or are modding, some others of us are trying different approaches to see where it gets us, but I think as long as we all have a common desire to be free of abusing alcohol, it is OK.

I think some people are accusing others of being judgemental when that was not the intention- sometimes it just comes out the wrong way when we are writing instead of speaking and things get misunderstood, plus it often gets like this around the full moon.

LOL it can most certainly be that- I used to have a bar, that was a kind of neighbourhood bar, the same people everyday, most of them 40 plus, who had known each other all their lives, and always got on fine until the full moon....then all hell would break loose.

I have a short moment... Like my hubby says: Men have a problem, they go to the pub (he never does), have a beer, watch the match, shake hands and go home... don't we (us women) just have a way to rip the arse out of the chicken, and still anticipate the golden egg? I am female, but by golly, we are complicated... So, put me on a rugby field surrounded by men, and I can communicate. A secre4tary pool of 10 or 20 for 5 minutes, and I stick out like a sore thumb.
