LOL, to change the subject I have finally got the feckin website for the shop finished...I have not added all the products yet as it has taken me months to do what I have so far, but at least I can place some adverts about now.

So if anyone is ever in the area...please come and visit!

Those in the UK will find the prices extortionate, but that is what we suckers pay for everyday stuff here in Spain, and British goods can't be had for love or money, the only other shop round here that sells some Britiah food is about 30% more expensive on most items.

Please tell me if the site looks OK, or a bit amateurish? I can take constructive criticism but please don't be too harsh, in light of recent posts I am rather nervous :nailbiting:

I LOVE your web site! I have made 4 or 5 and I really like yours. It's so open and friendly. I tried a few links and everything works great. Where you have Robertson's Golden Shred Marmalade, there's a comma in the price instead of a period. Great job. You live so far away from me in the US!

Nope, your site isn't too bad at all. And designing web sites is what I do for a living

However, Meta tags... the keywords tag is almost obsolete (you are using that - fine, leave it if it actually pertains to the page) but the description tag is not! Make sure you add that on all pages! None of your products link - you don't sell online? It's just a catalog?

Thanks all- (and thanks for the price thing Be, i will change it, I have just seen there are a few more too)

I like the site, but it has taken me absolutely ages...I will take a break tomorrow, then start doing online ads on Sunday- I can add other products bit by bit.

LOL Sun, I started doing the descriptions, then decided I simply could not do anymore now, and decided to finish them when I get home, LOL, and you caught me out. I know the meta thingies are not great but there are hardly any searches at all for 'British Foods in Girona' or similar- in fact so few searches there is no data, therefore I am not too worried about that as I hope to advertise online and off and that people will just type in the address from a flier.

If things go well enough this summer I would like to have online ordering, but for now, it is just as an online flier really.

Weekends aren't bad, but midweek is slow- but it is to be expected, it is a very seasonal location- nobody is here in the Winter! I am sure the summer will be good- just have to get to Spring- not long to go now!
